Finally lifted our our fodder beat!

After weeks and weeks of frost, snow and hail the skies over Drumachloy parted last week and as you can see we were treated to some sunshine. We finally managed to get a contractor across on the ferry to help harvest our fodder beat. The contractors like to come across to Bute on their holidays! We always have a smiling harvester driver in David Laird he loves to work at Drumachloy for the great views he gets whilst he is working.

Fodder beat is like a pointed turnip, it's full of energy, it's in the same family as sugar beat and the cows love it!
